Peter Ott is donating these two pair to be bought together. Peter is a past 20 Bird National Champion known for having the color and spin in his rollers.
Here is what Peter has to say about these birds being donated for the auction.
I am donating these two pairs of birds to the 2025 NBRC club auction. The first pair are both 2021 birds that have been in my breeding loft for 3 seasons (2022-2024). The cock bird (21-139) is a smokey andalusian that carries reduced and recessive red. He has been mated to 3 hens including this one and has produced nice spinning birds on all 3 hens. The hen (21-127) is an odd side andalusian that also carries recessive red. She was also mated to 3 different cocks over the past 3 years and has produced some nice spinners with each. This hen had 2 full sisters and 2 half-sisters that I pulled for breeding (one of which was tragically murdered by our current vice-president, the story of Anne Boleyn kind of comes to mind). This pair was mated together for part of 2022 and 2023. They put several offspring in my finals team and one in the breeding loft.
The second pair have not been bred from but were both in my competition teams the last 2 years. Both are 2023 birds. The cock is a blue check self (23-50) that has a 50/50 chance of carrying reduced. He is off my best producing hen and has several siblings that have been stocked and are also producing good birds. As a spinner he was a very fast 30ft-40ft bird that was an excellent bird in both the 20 and 11 bird competition teams. If you saw my birds that last couple of years, he was one of those “stupid blacks” that everyone seemed to like. If you look at his phenotype (and you know anything about me) you know he was a good spinner to stick around this long. The hen (23-85) is a dominant opal blue check white flight that carries recessive red. She is a bit of a mystery as neither of her parents were opal but there were two opal cocks in the same pen so I don’t know which one she is from. She is a solid 20 ft bird with good speed that went on all the breaks. A very good 20 bird competition hen.
