Rollers – Selfs

I have included this page just to clarify a point.  “Self” refers to a bird being a solid color.  Selfs are not a single genetic trait, rather it is a term for how a bird looks.  There are several ways to get them.  

1. Using SPREAD you can get a solid colored bird.
2. RECESSIVE RED can give you a solid colored bird.
3. Over-mating of GRIZZLE to GRIZZLE will give you
   a white bird.
4. Extremely rare, but there is a RECESSIVE WHITE
5. DILUTE on SPREAD simply gives you the dilute
   version of a colored bird such as yellow from red.
